When speaking to a recruiter, always know what position you
are seeking, what salary range are you looking for, whether you willing to relocate and to
where.
Recruiters are not mind readers! YOU
must know what you want for a recruiter to be able to assist you.
Just Send a Resume:
Many outplacement firms and resume books give you the advise you to send any company your
resume, whether they have a position for you or not. This advice is a myth, 98% of
all unsolicited resumes are disposed of. Only resumes in response to an active
position will be looked at, screened and sent to the hiring manager. Companies are
too busy to review, screen and file unsolicited resumes.
